The September meeting’s program was led by florist Cathy Greer who taught the art of maintaining cut flowers in arrangements.
In October, the club met in committees to plan projects for the year. Some of these projects will include work with disabled students at a nearby school, creating flower arrangements for functions at the church where the club meets, planting trees in public areas where so many trees were destroyed by recent hurricanes, working to create useful objects from items normally thrown away into landfills, creating a butterfly garden in a public area and the creation of this website for sharing with the public information helpful to conservation efforts.
Join us on November 19th when Jon Wooten with the NC Cooperative Extension Service will present a program on “Krazy Containers” for gardens.
